WHO IS THE PROJECT FOR?

FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
We work with and support young people who live in the Scottish Borders and are between the ages of 11 and 18 years of age.

Whether it is the first time a young person has drunk alcohol or taken drugs or it has become a regular habit or an addiction it brings risks and can lead to;
  • Accidents or injury
  • Skiving from school
  • Trouble with the Police
  • Being excluded
  • Fights, vandalism and theft
  • Relationship problems at home, school or with friends
  • Unwanted or unprotected sex
  • Poor Health
  • Money pressures
At face2face we aim to ensure that those risks are minimised or eliminated by supporting young people to understand the choices they make and have the confidence and strategies to control their lives. The project  sees young people who are just starting to drink through to those who have issues with addiction. Everyone can learn something!

FOR PARENTS
We also offer support and/or advice for parents whose children may be using alcohol and/or drugs.
We understand the challenges of being a parent and aim to provide the information and understanding of the nature of alcohol and drug use in teenagers so that parents can effectively support their children.
